We strive to serve the Los Alamos community the freshest, most healthy food possible. We start by taking the approach that we use mostly organic, certainly all natural, and when available local ingredients in all of our menu items. Check out all we have to offer on our
Deli page.

Bread: We offer Rudi’s breads from Denver, CO as well as local bread from Taos (Fun Bun) and Santa Fe (Sage Bread, Plaza Bakery, & Shure Bakehouse).
Bulk: We offer an abundant selection of bulk foods—from nuts, beans, and cereals to mixes, flours, sugars and nut butters. Purchasing from the bulk department can help you save money and reduce packaging. Bring in your own bulk containers and further reduce the impact to the environment. Scoop up bulk teas, medicinal herbs, baking ingredients and spices while saving money and packaging.
Grocery & Frozen: We strive to source only the finest natural and organic foods, ethnic products, and gourmet choices for our customers. We offer green cleaning & paper products, healthy pet foods, and specialty baking spices and other ingredients. We have many gluten free products, low/no-salt items, and vegan and vegetarian products.
Dairy: Butter, cottage cheese, yogurt and juice in organic and natural varieties, plus eggs that are free range, veggie-fed, and/or local. Our milk selection is hugely popular with offerings from Organic Valley plus Straus milk in glass returnable bottles and our favorite, Rasband from the south valley of Albuquerque. A broad selection of meat and cheese alternatives, Bubbies fermented foods, tortillas and pita breads round out our offerings.
We pride ourselves in the diversity of our product line. We focus on seasonally fresh produce and continually search for local vendors to fulfill our mission to support local, sustainable agriculture. We receive produce 2-3 times per week assuring the freshest, tastiest produce for our community. You can find organic bananas, local greens, and seasonal specialties such as local, organic green chile (we roast on site!); Palisades, CO peaches, local apples, wheatgrass and other delightful fruits and vegetables.
Our department also features fair trade flowers and we can even order bulk quantities of flowers for weddings, parties, or other special occasions.
Our Meat & Cheese department the best in town. All of our beef is sourced from Sweet Grass Co-op (a locally owned cooperative of ranchers from Northern NM and Southern CO) and is butchered on site. This arrangement helps area ranchers keep money in their communities, reduces our carbon footprint and provides a much higher-quality final product than what’s available on the commodity market. Providing local, healthy meat often means better pricing, more versatility and freshness in cuts.
Fresh seafood arrives twice weekly with deliveries from local partner Above Sea Level and Seattle Seafood. We're committed to sourcing only high-quality & sustainable seafood using the
Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program.
The Co-op offers an incredible selection of vitamins and supplements for every need. We only carry reputable lines and refrain from making unfounded or questionable health claims.
Our Wellness Department promotes household and personal care products that are environmentally sound and that use no animal testing. Our Mercantile Department promotes Fair Trade merchandise and locally made artisan and handcrafted products. These departments bring a variety of products to our store including:
Supplements: Vitamins, tinctures, herbal and homeopathic remedies.
Health and Beauty: Make-up, Shampoos, lotions, facial care, and other personal care items.
Merchantile: Things for the home and kitchen, Youth and Adult T-shirts, candles and incense (and much, much more!).
Greeting cards, Books and Magazines: Unique cards, many locally made; book topics covering health, nutrition, gardening, and cookbooks (many different diet approaches including vegan and vegetarian); and one of the finest magazine stands in town.
Los Alamos Co-op gladly accepts special orders. The Wellness (supplements and body care) dept. can order for you even in single unit quantities of an item we do not carry and you can get it in as little as 4 business days (in most cases). Case quantity is 6 units of an item in either the supplement or the body care section. For other department special orders guidelines, See our large quantity and bulk buying guidelines.
